Week 4 Match Report - MT 2019

This was a strong week for Oxford where our teams fought hard to achieve three wins and sustained one loss.

M2 obliterated the University of East Anglia (UEA) not loosing a single match to secure a clean-sweep 12-0 victory. Special shoutout to Max Klinger and David Heathcote who played up from W3’s and still managed to crush the opposition with ease. The whole team should be congratulated for only dropping a total 19 games across their six matches. This victorious day was finished off in style as the team stopped by at M2 captain Chris Grassick’s house on the way back to Oxford for a hearty home-cooked meal! The perfect end of a blinding day of BUCS for M2.

M4 had a win close to home with an away match against Oxford Brookes (luckily not the longest of travel times!), where they took the victory 8-4.

W1 sadly suffered a defeat against East London 1’s with a score of 4-8. But both doubles pairs must be congratulated on winning in really exciting 10 point championship tiebreaks after coming back from 6-1 and 6-2 losses in their first sets!

And lastly our M3’s were meant to have a home match against UEA 2’s which was forfeited to Oxford on the grounds of UEA being unable to field a team.

PLAYER OF THE MATCH

Can go to none other than Daniel for chilling his 6-0, 6-0 singles and 6-0, 6-1 doubles demolition of his opponent.

W1 after their match and M2 enjoying the last slice of pavlova during their pit stop at M2 Captain Chris’ house!
